The TED™ drive is designed to perform high performance of input and output disk device. The TED™ is a data-caching device, which has total 1GB caching memory for reading and writing. All data received from host are one time stored in the cache area, and after, they are flushed out to disk media.
The TED™ has super condensers as the second source of power against the loss of power, which is used to backup the cached data flush back.
The functions used from host computer are mainly processed by the TED™ firmware embedded in. The firmware is loadable. Replacing the firmware can do adding or updating TED™ functions.
